Auburn Taco Pie
Ingredients
- 1 roll crescent dough
- 1 cup of crushed Fritos
- 1 ¼ lb. ground beef
- ¼ cup water
- Taco seasoning packet
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar
- ½ cup crushed Fritos
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Brown meat, drain, and add water and seasoning packet. Set aside.
- Press crescent dough in a pie shell.
- Add 1 cup crushed Fritos, then the seasoned & cooked ground beef, sour cream, cheese, and the final ½ cup Fritos.
- Bake 20 minutes.
- Cut in wedges and topped with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, picante sauce or salsa.

Oh, the memories of sharing recipes as a young mother when we lived in Auburn! So many ladies come to mind who set such a wonderful example of hospitality and community. I will forever be so grateful for our early years as a family in Auburn. I grew so much as a Christian wife and mother. I renamed this with “Auburn” added because this recipe was shared amongst many of us when I lived in Auburn.
